PiFl Labs Co., Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the mobile application PiPi Hello — a Korean-Japanese first-language-learning app for children aged 6–8 ("App"). For matters not covered here, our general Privacy Policy applies.
This App is directed at children. To protect children, we display no advertising and collect or transmit no personal data whatsoever. All learning records and settings are stored only on the device (no external server).
1. Purpose of Processing
- App functionality: Letter and vocabulary learning, progress tracking, streaks and rewards, and saving user preferences — all processed locally on the device
- In-app subscriptions: Purchase processing and receipt validation for parents (after passing a parental verification step)
- Customer support: Receiving and responding to email inquiries
We do not serve advertising and do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools (SDKs) in this App.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not require account registration. We process only the following:

The App does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) and does not request iOS tracking (App Tracking Transparency) permission. It also never asks children to enter personal information such as name, date of birth, or contact details.
3. Retention Period
- Local app data: Until the user deletes the App or resets the data
- In-app subscription receipts: 5 years (Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
- Email inquiry records: 3 years after resolution
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.
5. Processing Entrustment
We entrust the following parties only for in-app subscription billing. There is no entrustment for advertising or analytics.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
This App is directed primarily at children aged 6–8. To protect children, we comply with the following:
- We collect and transmit no personal data of any kind (learning data is stored 100% on-device).
- We never ask children to enter personal information such as name, date of birth, or contact details.
- We display no third-party advertising and use no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Access to purchases, external links, and settings is protected by a parental gate (an adult verification step), so children cannot make purchases or navigate away on their own.
- We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Apple App Store "Kids" category guidelines, and the Google Play Families policy.
Because we do not collect any personal information from children, no separate verifiable parental consent is required. Parents may contact us or request deletion at privacy (at) pifl-labs.com.
7. App Permissions
The App uses the following capabilities to provide its service.
- Text-to-Speech: Uses the device's built-in speech synthesis to pronounce letters and words. We do not record audio; no voice data is collected or transmitted.
The App does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or notification permissions.
8. Data Destruction
- Procedure: Unnecessary personal data is destroyed after approval by the Data Protection Officer.
- Method: Electronic files are permanently deleted using non-recoverable methods. Local app data is removed when the user uninstalls the App.

- Right to be informed about the processing of your personal data
- Right to consent to and determine the scope of processing
- Right to access and request information about your personal data
- Right to request correction, deletion, suspension, or destruction

11. International Data Transfers
We transfer personal data internationally only for in-app subscription billing, as set out below. There is no international transfer for advertising or analytics.
